Kim Lineberger


Kim Lineberger, originally from Gastonia, North Carolina, was born into the world of construction spending her youth helping her father at his business, after graduating high school she attended North Carolina State University. During her time at NC State she acted as President of AGC student chapter and was student member representative for  School of Engineering Course and Curriculum Committee,  Engineer’s Council,  and the Engineer’s Advisory Council representing the Civil Engineering Department to name a few, as well as beingnominated for the Outstanding Women Engineer Award. She also worked the North Carolina Department of Transportation during this time.After obtaining her B.S. in Civil Engineering,  Kim obtained her NC & SC General Contractors License and returned to her father’s company in Lancaster, South Carolina. She worked in all aspects of the company. Being responsible for projects from the bid phase through the completion. Duties included contract negotiations, monitoring job cost and assuring compliance with the plans and specifications. Leaving his Company as the Vice President.  In 1995, with eight employees and 3 pieces of equipment Kim opened her own company, LCI-Lineberger Construction, Inc. Through the years her business has grown, today having over 80 employees and excess of 150 pieces of equipment. Even with the growth of her company, Kim also makes time to participate in outside organizations such as being a charter member of the Women’s President Organization, serving on the South Carolina Contractors Licensing Board,  Lancaster Chamber of Commerce Board, Regional Educational Advisory Board and The South Carolina State Guard.Kim has two children, Will and Megan.  Will, a graduate from The University of South Carolina, and  a Navy veteran, is Vice President of the construction company and has two children.  Megan graduated from the College of Charleston and currently resides in Berkley, Michigan while completing her surgical residency. Kim enjoys spending time with her family and friends on the lake and traveling
